Harnessing Authentic Storytelling to Attract Top Talent

How do you create authentic, employee-generated content that shows off your unique employer brand and speaks to candidates?

David Rivel

David Rivel is a Tech Entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in HR Tech scaling fast growing, dynamic technology start-ups. He co-founded PathMotion, an AI powered discussion platform where selected employees share their career stories (text and video) to answer candidates’ questions. This generates the persuasive authentic content missing from employers careers sites to address candidates’ concerns, which is then disseminated across key recruitment channels (including social, SEO, chatbot, career website & job ad plugins). PathMotion helps companies across 15+ industries worldwide (including Allianz, Merck, Roland Berger, Coca-Cola and Nestlé), to increase conversion rates of talent by 2-3x. PathMotion was sold to PageUp in 2021 (a Battery Ventures backed company). Prior to PathMotion, David held various roles at small and large organisations across Europe, the US and Mexico. He was a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, held positions at HRG (now part of American Express) and worked with the financial arm of GE across Europe and North America.

Melanie Höfgen

After completing her studies in sociology, Melanie Höfgen started her professional life as an Employer Branding Expert at Merck in Darmstadt. As part of the Global Employer Branding Team, she is passionate about recruitment marketing, the candidate experience and how to enhance the overall candidate journey. Fueled by the ambition to create an impact, she has implemented PathMotion, a candidate attraction and discussion platform, to become more approachable and share authentic employee stories to candidates.
